What is love?

Introduction:

“Love is an art, and we don’t know how to draw,” “Love is the poison your parents warned you about,” said some of my colleagues. “Love is destiny,” “Love is what makes you human,” “Love is friendship,” said a few others. But what is love? Can love be described and closed in a few words? Isn’t a question to ask yourself when you are in love. Love is the answer to all these confusions. Love is acceptance, love is about coming together with what reality is, coming to learn that no matter how bad your day, month, or year was, people accept you for who you are.

What’s more important than being accepted for who you are, by your loved ones? We get scared before we spell out our feelings, we often get sick to our stomachs while saying what we want to say. Why do we seek approvals? Once you feel accepted by the ones you love the most, it’s magical thereafter, it’s like you ready to take on the world and conquer it.

Love is about trying. It is about the things you try and make happen for the other person. You tend to be the best version of yourself when you are in love. If you look closely you will realize that you are finding it hard to make your person understand that you love them. Do you know why that is? Because love is not materialistic. Love is not about gifts, love is about the time you take out for each other and TALK.

You might be ready to give everything in your life to them, but that doesn’t mean that they have to feel the same way about you, but you could love them the way you do because love doesn’t need approvals, it only needs kindness at the end of the day.

If you haven’t met that person yet, don’t let your heart give up. After all, the world is your oyster and you just haven’t met yours, yet. So you could say that love has a million meanings, but it could also mean that love doesn’t need to have a meaning. Love is a feeling, feel it, live it, and be one with it.

No matter who or what you are, try to love, fall in love and lose yourself. Come clean and let nothing or no one hold you back.
