In our wedding photography journey, we get to explore stories of how couples get together and celebrate their special milestones with them! Some stories stick with us for a long time, like that of Andre David and Karena D’Raze. Here is a preview of some of their best wedding photos from our wedding photography in Chennai collection.
Andre first saw Karena at a New Year dance, but only from afar and reached out to her on Instagram in 2015. Though it was a long distance relationship with Andre in London and Karena in Chennai, they became almost inseparable in three short months. Andre then took things to the next level by surprising Karena in Chennai. “He called me one day at work and told me this phone battery was going to die. I found it fishy but went along with it. The next day, I received a call saying I had a special package waiting for me. I sent my father to collect it for me and he found Andre there grinning from ear to ear,” Karena recalls fondly.
“He was really excited to see me and ended up giving my dad a hug instead,” she adds endearingly. After a meeting like this, it was not difficult to get the parents on board to take the relationship to the next level. The couple recalls their engagement day fondly as one of the best days of their lives. Their beautiful wedding was just in the offing and all details were meticulously planned.
Like all events, this had a moment of panic! The driver that had picked up the groom and dropped him in the church disappeared and the bride was late for her own wedding. “The chaos and worry disappeared the second I saw her. She looked gorgeous in her wedding dress and knowing she would be my wife was one of the happiest moments of my life,” Andre recalls with a smile. After that, as they say, it was smooth sailing.
This couple defies the belief that long distance relationships don’t work! Despite staying in different time zones, they found a way to make it work and bring their families together. They are a true inspiration to couples all over the world.
